Hehe! As running kabaliwans go, i think you won it hands down the second your heel touched that that kalayaan flyover. Buti na lang you have a sane wife around to help your obviously overworked guardian angel!
I agree it was crazy. I wish though I had the guts to do it too.

well, sometimes when you have run that long you feel like you can do anything already!

Do they still have the fair at Ateneo Grade School to celebrate the guardian angels? I recall that these usually happened around the first week of October.

Yes they still have the fair with the jail booth (“Please catch all those wearing blue shirts! Yikes!”).

hey bro, i got back 2am from my must-not-miss meeting in nueva vizcaya yesterday.all told, i was up like 24 hours straight that included a 20k run at bhs/mkh (in part with you) and 15 hour turnaround.the next time you will do this bhs moa thing, i will go with you all the way with my beard,tattoo and earring.the harley would have to stay at bhs.sorry to hear about the dressing you got.i do not wish to be with you to be your hearing aid be just be a running bud.haha.adjusting your watch to be on time would help too.hehe.

Hey jonel, any day is long run day! Anyway, my wife was only concerned about going up the Kalayaan flyover with all that traffic coming at me which I assured her I would not do again so all’s well that ends well.

Hey, congrats on your sunday long run! What an adventure! Hmm…nagpaalam ka ba sa wife mo before doing that? hahahaha

Good question! I actually told her my plans the night before and she already had misgivings. I told her I would be with bugobugo who is a big fellow with a beard, rides a Harley, and has tatoos and that quited her a bit but when I got back and told her not only did he not come with me but that I ended up running up Kalayaan flyover …boy did I get it! He he he. I promised not to run up the flyover next time.

Thanks Nora! I started a bit late already at 5 a.m. but even then Sunday morning traffic was very light to non existent specially on Ayala. I guess if I had gone at as planned at 4:30 a.m. it would have been almost non existent. BTW the Milo marathon started at 4:30 a.m. and until I was on my way back to Quirino there was hardly any traffic at all.

yup, it adds up to the thrill of the run. Running with all that traffic… hmmm, I think it will help improve our senses in the long run hehehe congrats on the runs!

Thanks! It sort of reminds me of Dean Karnazes just going out and running as far as his feet will take him although I am sure he did not have to deal with the pollution we have. Maybe we will bump inot each other during these long runs.
