Taking it Easy

Things seem to fall in place today. I woke up early. Ran another easy 7 miles. Went to work. Made clients happy. Got a lot of things done (things to do never run out though). Picked up by wifey at 5:30 p.m.. Headed to Chelsea in Serendra where we had pizza, coffee and dessert. Walked around BHS and window shopped at the Nike store.

I saw the Nike Pro gear and remembered Bald Runner saying in his blog that running in Nike Pro shirts was like running naked and I could imagine how some of the shirts could feel like they were not there as the fabric was very thin, almost sheer, like stockings. I then remembered a runner in the 10km Doc Fit race who ran shirtless and who appeared surprised that there was no one else like him running half naked. I guess he never ran shirtless again as I have not seen a shirtless guy in any of the races lately. Perhaps he should get one of these Nike Pro shirts to feel shirtless again.

Went home. Kissed the sleeping kids. Checked the markets. Wrote a post before going to bed at 10 p.m..

Total Distance : 7.0 miles   Total Time : 1:10:01   Ave. Pace : 10:00   Ave. HR : 130

  1. Hi prometheuscometh. The Nike Pro Fit shirts are indeed nice. I tried one on during a Niketown Wednesday Night run when the store celebrated their 10th year. Yes, it feels like one is naked.

  2. I bought one to try out myself. Thanks for letting me know!

  3. Hi prometheuscometh. Hope everything there is okay. I woke up here this morning and heard about Typhoon Frank. I read on loonyrunner’s blog that the mayor postponed the Marathon and Half Marathon race to another date.

The weather around the world is strange. The race I ran here in SF this morning was run in 74 degree / 95% humidity at 9am. In Iowa (midwestern U.S.), there was a couple of races canceled/postponed due to the flooding there.
